In addition to providing all the main advantages of automatic screw feeding systems, such as for example, business continuity, reduced cycle times and Industry 5.0 interconnectivity, the new ED S offers many other benefits!

MAXIMUM SILENCE and OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY ASSURED.

Due to its conveyor rail operation, the ED S feeds screws vibration-free, ensuring:

- great reduction of noise in the assembly line, benefiting operators

- reduced movement of screws, which preserves their initial characteristics, e.g., painted screws do not flake off

- consequent absence of dust inside the feeder: internal kinematics are safeguarded for maximum efficiency and operational continuity

EXTERNAL AND PORTABLE PLC

ED S feeders are equipped with PORTABLE PLC Logo! Siemens and not integrated into the machine: a unique feature in the market. The PLC can be so deployed in the location best suited to the operator’s or workstation’s needs, up to 10 mt, with operation similar to Robot/Cobot control panels.

Also ever-present is the Integrated Web Server Interface, the EDMI, which allows real-time remote operation or service intervention.

QUIET AUTOMATIC REFILLING WITH NEW BELT HOPPER

The new extremely silent belt hopper, perfectly matched to ED S, offers numerous advantages:

- Reduced noise: thanks to the quiet electric driven motor, conveyor belt and sound-absorbing plastic screw fall-off area

- Intact screws: the absence of vibration of screws, with gradual and gentle dispensing, preserves their characteristics, especially of treated screws

- High servo capacity: loadable up to 12 liters, ensures continuous replenishment of the feeder tank

DIRT PARTICLE REMOVAL WITH DUST CLEANER

The ED S screw feeder, when used in Fiam’s MCA automatic tightening modules, can be combined with the new DUST CLEANER device that:

- captures and removes dirt and dust particles generated by the screw firing process

- ensures high-quality assemblies because screws arrive at the tightening point intact and dust-free

- acting as a screw selector, it can reduce screw firing times by up to 0.3 sec: a decisive advantage at high production rates
